所谓声带息肉 ,顾名思义 ,即在声带 (音带 )边缘黏膜组织长出不同程度大小的团块 ,而妨碍声带正常闭合、振动 ,出现声音异常者。祖国医学无此病名 ,但该病属中医的瘀征范畴。声带组织可分为五层 ,如黏膜层 (上皮层 )、浅固有层、中固有层和深固有层。真正能够振动而产生优美音调的是声带的黏膜层和浅固有层 ,声带息肉就是声带黏膜层与浅固有层的病变 ,所以声带息肉可引起发声障碍 ,声音嘶哑。声带息肉多因滥用嗓音 ,长期或一次性过度用声 ,使声带振动超强 ,致声带黏膜局部损伤 ,逐渐形成息肉。

在感冒、急慢性喉炎时 ,声带已有不同程度充血、水肿 ,再加上发声时声带黏膜损伤、出血、水肿 ,有时血管扩张 ,有时出血 ,使渗血吸收后 ,即变成半透明息肉。

长期吸烟或饮酒 ,咽喉腔、声带黏膜常处于充血状态 ,加上发声过度或不当 ,易造成声带损伤而成息肉。
