Excite Upgrades To 125MB

I've had the same email account since the days of ATTBI (ATTBI -> @Home -> Excite@Home -> Excite), so I'm happy to see Excite has followed in the footsteps of Google and increased their space to 125MB per account instead of the previous 2 or 3 we had.

At one point I thought that Excite said they were bankrupt and then got bought by someone else. Wonder how they ever got the money for this! Probably b/c of their excessive amount of ads on their site...

 

[The Equivocate]

Well here is what happened.

Excite teamed up with AT&T Broadband Internet to form Excite@Home. After AT&T Broadband Internet was sold to Comcast, they parted ways with Excite, which was losing money anyways, hence it being sold or taken over by Comcast (or different providers in some different areas).

At least I think that's what happened. It's the general idea anyways.
