The following is not legal advice and may be totally wrong.

"Emirates" is a word in the plural form which meaning is very close to "States"[1]. I firmly believe it's safe to use it as a domain name (e.g. emirates.land, emirates.io, etc). And, yes! The trademark is registered, but only as a word mark.
