If you don't mind, I have a few questions about how ebay works.

Suppose you put a name up for sale, starting at $.01 with no
reserve, can you decide to remove the name at any time if
there are no bids?

Can you remove the name even if there ARE bids?

Can you set a reserve price in midcourse if there are no bids yet?

Can you set a "buy it now" in midcourse as long as there are no bids?

You can end the auction early whenever you see fit. If there are no bids, you can just cite that the domain is no longer available (eBay will ask for a reason).

I'm a little fuzzy about what happens if there are bids. I think you may have to sell to the highest bidder if you decide to end the auction early unless you have some crazy reason, but again I'm not sure.

I don't think you can do the last two based on the fact that eBay charges you extra listing fees for each of those options (I think it's 25 cents for Buy It Now or something and then it ranges for Reserve Price).

Thanks emxtrix. Anyone else with comments or past experiences to report?

Yes you can, many people put on the item ''Item is listed elsewere so i have the right to remove this item''

Can you set a reserve price in midcourse if there are no bids yet?

yes as long as there is more then 12 hours left.

Can you set a "buy it now" in midcourse as long as there are no bids?

it is not advised to start switching the goalposts after the auction has started. it will not create a good reputation.

actually i have never sold a domain name on ebay but you cant change the domain once its for sale. That would be like selling a car and when the bidding is over you give them a hotwheels toy car.

yes this is acceptable, but not if it negatively affects the existing bidders

the only thing you cant change on ebay is the price and shipping. I tried to change the shipping to $700 for a $0.99 item when someone placed a bid on it but i couldnt.

I don't think you can remove a name if there are bids on it.

The rules clearly state No change in Pricing or addons (unless reductions)
Same for Description (Clarify ,not Substantial change)
