Easy question. Help me out!

Okay I will use domain.com as an example that is not the name!
I have domain.com I have it hosted but I have the site installed on /index how do I make it so when people type in domain.com it goes to domain.com/index ? I tryed doing url fowarding but it wont let me because I specified name servers... So whats the answer? Thanks Much!

Change the name of the 'index' file to one of the following;

index.html
index.shtml
index.htm

I'm not sure what other extensions work, but these three definally do.
