For this domain you can't get anything. I put stats on some very popular domains that weren't .com, .net, and .org...it doesn't work out that well as you wish it would. You think you can get alot of unique type ins becasue its downloads.nu but you won't...trust me. You may get, but very very little. I think you can get the Registration price whether site is developed or not. .nu, the average Joe never heard of it. I barely even hear of .nu. Plus, the other reason it's not worth anything is because it is "downloads" not "download". I noticed this DOES make a BIG difference.

You would never get $250...if let's say kazaa wanted to buy downloads.nu, you think they would even consider going for .nu? A big business would never buy anything other than .org, .net, or .com.

I think no such thing. There will likely be close to zero typeins for this domain, and the few ones will probably be other domainers or webmasters just checking how it was used.

The value I think is in the brandability of this name. Just develop it with a nice logo like makes "NU" stand out, and no one will ever forget the url.

Also in the SEO possibilities, since it is a one-word keyword with 10,852.4 overture per day.

The best of course would be to own both singular and plural versions. Wordtracker numbers are quite close for both versions.

However, for my branding strategy of "nu downloads", I think the plural works out better.

By big business I mean eBay, Dell, HP, Weight Watchers, etc.

The ones you mentioned don't even own a million dollars in total. :bah:

Also, .nu and .info or .biz is a BIG difference. If you have a big business with billions of dollars, or even millions, then they can buy download.com without even making a visible difference in their budget. So why would they go after downloadS(pluraL).NU? Tell me.

In my opinion, I don't think anybody will buy your domain name for over $60 or so dollars. But hey, that's my opinion. If you sell it for more, let me know.

Of course they do. What made you think the buyers are small companies? I have yet to find small companies willing to pay tens of thousands for domains, no matter how nice they are.

Not bad keyword but there are still many better available with .nu and similiar. Better Overture (than downloads), pointing the exact product or specific feature of service as i.e. freedownload.cc, musicdownload.nu, etc. I'd go for these ones first.
