Download Tracking

I want to be able to track who is downloading some files on my website. Preferably I'd like to record IP Address and eMail Address and have a download counter for each file. I've googled for what I want, but most scripts are way more than I need.

I have a forum, phpBB. Could I do it via that? How?

I suppose you need to check some phpbb support forums to find out the solution there. I think that should be a plugin there

I did. The download counter is automatic, but the IP Address and eMail of the downloader requires a Mod. I'm not sure I'm up to that. So I'm still looking for a simple third party solution.
