DomainHop, negative experience... so far

I applied for a DomainHop account around 11-12 April 2005.
On 18 April, I got a confirmation email from them:

Thank you for choosing to park your domains with DomainHop.

Login to your account now

Once you log in, you can view your account information, learn how to redirect users to your parked domain, and manage and optimize your domains.

etc.

I went to login to my account and I got "Inactive Account".... I imediatelly emailed them (+ I also resent them the email one more time) but no answer so far (one week later...).

I tried to find a phone number to call them, nothing listed on their site.

I would like to hear about your experiences, or if DomainHop's support persons are posting to this board, I'd like to receive a PM. Thanks.

I've heard lots of experiences from other people that their accounts got terminated without any explanation and their customer service wouldn't answer their email inquiries.

Though my account is still fine up till now, I dare not continue parking my domains on Domainhop. There're lots of other alternatives around.

I seem to recall it took about a month before I finally got a name up and running at DH. I just tested it for a day to see how it worked (wasn't impressive) and moved it elsewhere.

I have same problem with DomainHop. account became inactive in 4 days. I had $2-$3 earned which is also gone

Thank God I did not redirected my domains to them.
DomainSponsor.com do not accept me (don't know why) and with sedo we do not make too much (only 0.03 EURO / click, which is small considering the topic).

For sedo, "poker" and "casino" have great CPC ($1.80 a click+ thus far) for keywords. DomainHop has still treated me well, but I have gotten better results recently from DS/Sedo, and Fabulous also comes highly recommended. DH is good as a starter program to get your feet wet, but until they get the customer service issues resolved...not sure how highly I can recommend them.

Allan, I have a casino domain name (casino in the name of the domain) but sedo shows gaming links, don't know why. Is there anything I can do to optimize this?

I wasn't allowed to run adult feed for freedailygirls.com at DH. I almost got booted for challenging their decision. Needless to say that I'm only parking with SEDO and DS from now on.

DH does have a shady business practice with the account terminated without any explaination. I am sure most of those who receive that have been cheating the system but I know a few honest DN pushers who are legit and received this message and lost their earnings without any explaination..not only that but DH would not contact them back about the situation which is very weird. I don't use them just because I have heard plenty of horror stories.

I did not even had the chance to use their system. I got their email that my account is active, tried to login and got the message: "Account Inactive"...
I have definitely not cheated their system...

sad to hear domain hop is not really making it easy for new members. I've been a member for 7+ months now and am very sastified with their services. I don't know whats up lately with all these accounts getting shut down...

Which is somewhat strange as they are owned by Kanoodle, a large holder for a parking service.
Still, with all the 1st hand accounts of DH, it might be smart to send your traffic elsewhere until they get things under control.
Albeit, I am keeping some names there that have performed well for me, as I have still (knock on wood) not had any problems with them.

I found this thread kind of interesting, seeing that I just signed up with them. We will have to slow our roll over at Namecca then. Because after reading this thread it may be a bit too iffy with DH. This is shocking news after some of the good solid things I read of Kanoodle, the owners of DH.

At Sedo, in the place where you get your statistics, there is a place called optimization where you can pick your keywords to suggest to them. They are usually pretty tolerant and during the weekday can change them pretty quick. Try 'casino' or 'poker' as your keyword and suggest that to them and they will change it for you.

Have A few domains at domain hop and not getting any views,much less clicks.When you suggest your keywords at Sedo,click on the magnifying glass and you can see the adds.Make sure you have several adds and not just 1 or 2.Will make A difference.

Not sure if I am following this whole DomainHop thing. I have been with them for a month and none of sites have been found by any search engines yet. Even searching very specific terms with "Domainhop" as a term too. NOTHING. Note even on page 299. So it might take a long while for SE's to register their pages if at all.

And whats this about not being allowed to link to your parked pages? Is it not the whole idea of domain parking to drive traffic to your parked domains? I guess not. Is that the same with all of them..?

Please advise. If Dh's customer service is bad their site in terms of self-help is even worse. very little guidelines and information...

Makes it hard for a newbie...
