What are some of the domain trends you have noticed over the history of the net?

Right now, I see a lot of people trying to get domains with "forum" in them.

Also, LLL.com are very popular now but I guess they always will be. . .

for me it has to be in line with the current events, like
domain with keywords such as the ffg are good for me:
gas
prices
politics
car
save
money

- current events
- green related names
