So, ICANN passes a resolution that's meant to discourage "domain tasting" the potential effectiveness of which is currently the subject of much debate.

So how do they then justify letting Tucows Inc. as a registrar not only get away with tasting expired names en masse, but then skimming the best names into their "portfolio" to the tune of 6000 to 8000 names per month by their own admission?
You and me can only wonder what kind of daily click revenue they're getting from those expired names. Presumably, they're paying ICANN their .20 per name for these extremely valuable assets, and that's their entire cost in perpetuity because they are their own Registrar!
Good luck bidding on the dregs they let go to Afternic auction, just don't expect to see any traffic on them.
