I have a domain registered at godaddy and I want to push it into another account. Is this possible with only the accountname, like at eNom?
I have to fill out name, address etc. of the other person in order to get this done, it seems. Is this the only way?
Thanks.

I think that's the only way. GoDaddy is known for this cumbersome push process.

Other members will correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes I think it is the only way. Just make sure to type in the right e-mail address.

Righto, GD is a comparatively cumbersome process ... I've read here that even the support folks at GD have advised entering quick (could even be the Seller's own) information in the various fields ... as long as the new E-mail address was that of the Buyer's. The Buyer can update those details upon completion.
Unsure if this goes against their TOS, but it's what I've read.
Why they can't make it easier (a la Enom/NameCheap, even Dotster) for us folks I have no idea. :cy:

I am not sure (because i did not do it for a month or two, and the new control panel in now on) but,

GoDaddy does not use "account ID number" (there are no account "names" at GoDaddy no more, only numbers) for inter-account transfers.

Push at GoDaddy is performed this way:
1. select a domain, then click Change owner
2. fill in data about new owner
3. be careful about his e-mail address because there will be sent an email message with transfer codes.
4. new owner gets the email, logs in, puts transfer codes that he got in the mail, and domain is then at his account...

I repeat, this was 2 months ago. Maybe something is changed now...

Thanks all. I asked the new owner his data and filled it all out. The transfer took 10 minutes or so. Not a big deal after all, I just wasn't sure this was the correct method.

It's not the worst thing in the world, but when compared with the others (Enom/NameCheap/Dotster), it's just so danged cumbersome and time-consuming (busy busy) in my view.
Ah well, glad you're all good to go now Pascal.
See you soon.
