The metrics are just that, metrics. That doesn't mean the name is any good. First of all, which extension ? If it's .pw or .gdn, hardly anybody will want to touch it, let alone pay for it. Then, search volume doesn't mean the name gets traffic undevelopped. But any domain name can be developed and SEOed after all. So the stats are more likely to be a bonus than a deciding factor.

Take a look at some domain auctions here on NP where sellers are crowing about tens of thousands of monthly searches for the word, high CPC, and a claimed half million dollars of "traffic value" but no one is willing to bid even twenty bucks for the domain.
