First off, let me say that I am a law abiding person, and believe in change to be done with non-violent means.

Today I aquired the domain name
EarthLiberationFront.com (grabbed the .org too)

For those of you that are not familiar with the group behind this name, they have been branded a terrorist group, as they believe in arson, vandalism, etc to get their point accross.

The reason I bought the domain, is because it has these stats:

22,500 linkpop- these are good links, not just crummy blog links (mostly)
Wordtracker 314/day
Overture 142/day
Overture with ext: 10/day

Google with quotes: 55K

What kind of traffic will it get? I'm not sure, but if 1% of the links get clicked per day, that's 6750 per month.
Also, by virtue that most of the links have been placed in a "pro-eco" mindset, they will likely not evaporate very quickly.

Questions:
How do you value this domain name?
What is the best use for this name?
Do you think the Feds will put me on their list?

Lastly, just to make sure we are clear:
I will use this domain name for good, not for evil...
Like a Nature Poster Site! :hehe:

Conversely, would make an interesting faux site for an alien attack and the earth's defense, replete with t-shirts and the like... I've seen popular faux blogs regarding being trapped during a zombie attack and the like.. they get alot of traffic and are fun.

Nice grab!

While I doubt the resale on this has any hope (FBI being a big poopoo'r on that), the traffic you'll get alone will do wonders.

I bet.. if you put up a website.. youll even get onto the news if you do it right.

Just be sure to keep yourself seperate (say..by putting a little thing that no one will see on the bottom saying "this site is a spoof of the morons called ELF" or something) from the ELF and you should be fine. dont allow signups or memberships..etc.

Dumb butts blew up a chevy dealer near me, I kind of laughed as everything was burning (not polluting, of course?) up into the sky, turning everything quite black.

I've been able to monitor the stats for this domain name for about four days now, and it looks like it is averaging 740 uniques a day. Yesterday, it had 1150. I'm guessing it'll bring in around 25K uniques a month. I grabbed the .org .info and .us as well. I was kind of surprised that they were available too. The .org gets about 20 uniques a day. The linkpop is 22K+ and the overture with extension is 10 per day.


Questions: what is the best use for this type of traffic? Keep in mind that some of the traffic to be "for" and a heck of a lot "against". What is the the best thing to market to these folks?

Also, what kind of value do you give the domain name?
