dankweed.com expired drop reg, traces of it exist since the year 2000 on domaintools.com
- previously owned by Navigation Catalyst Systems - a big name squatter based in El Segundo, CA.
- I have no clue why they would let this drop, maybe it was an error on their behalf? I thanked them for it after
.
- Includes a site and logo - http://www.dankweed.com
- Knock off domains "dankcannabis.com", "dankmarijuana.com", "dankbuds.com", and "danknugs.com" exist. Owner of "dankbuds.com" attempted to contact me and ask if I wanted to buy it.
- I've gotten compliments on this name by web professionals.
dankchronic.com hand reg, again traces of this one exist since 2000 on domaintools.com
- Also has a logo, same as dankweed.com
- People are already jocking this domain, knock offs "thedankchronic.com" and "finechronic.com" were created shortly after.
Key: Pot is legal soon. Jumping on the bandwagon. "Dank Weed" gets 6600 searches/month and is highly memorable. Perfect
for a delivery service or pot bar. Potential mail order business for weed in 5 years.. dankweed.com estibot value = $1500. Picture
a shopping cart and a site that mails you ounces of weed, much like an online wine vendor (this is many years in the future when
legalization evolves/progresses). For this reason should I add about 3-5 years of registration to it?
Where it stands to me: It doesn't come close to pot.com, cannabis.com, weed.com, dank.com, or marijuana.com in terms of brandability and simplicity of a name. It may be about the 10th best pot domain name on the internet in this sequence: marijuana.com, pot.com, cannabis.com, dank.com, chronic.com, weed.com, herb.com, ... dankweed.com etc.
I'm going to let them sit for a few years before pitching them to some pot-trepeneurs in Oaksterdam or California in general - what do you guys think? I could just live off of them later on make my own online pot biz when weed is legal.
