ỹ.com

I remember acquiring this idn awhile back. Not sure of the value or even what language it belongs to.

Thoughts?

I also registered all these idns symbols back in the day. Anyone think they are worth keeping?

The problem is how is anyone going to enter the "small sun" symbol, other than go to MS Word, add a symbol and then copy and paste.

As i said, this has nothing to do with traffic. This kind of domains can't be listed on search engines and i didn't registered it to get traffic in.

Anyway enter the small-sun symbol is pretty easy: hold down the (left)ALT key and then hit 1 and then 5 on the numpad.

I own │.com (xn--bwh.com), and for some reason it gets ~30 hits a day (~1k hits a month). So IDNs can get traffic.

That's not even an alphabetical character, it's part of the pattern syntax so are you absolutely positive about the origin of the traffic ?

I have no idea where the traffic's coming from, I have other IDNs which get no traffic.

B3n, the | character is accessible directly form the keyboard (shift + \) so that's why you're getting traffic. But these arrow/smiley/etc symbols are terribly complicated to type in even if the user wanted to. I don't think these are useful.

BTW Opera says it's an illegal URL.

Actually, "|" ([shift]+[\]) is different from "│".

Wow, haha, really! That's funny. What's the character code for that?

shift + \ can not be registered so that's not an explanation, hmmmm strange..
