I have been looking into co.uk sales for this year and making my own private notes and thought I may as well dabble in breaking the figures down and share them on here......not something I especially excel in but it does help let some of the data sink in........

The below areas are what interested me.... so it might be missing other data that you wanted to see, if so share anything of interest in the comment section.....

First up....

No report single letter .co.uk sales for 2020 - I checked and there has never been a reported single letter .co.uk sale on Namebio. - they are in use though, I checked A, B, C, D & E .co.uk and a few are acting as a redirects or are websites......

There have been 6 LL .co.uk sales this year with one standout... which was it.co.uk that sold for 235,007 USD back in June at Sedo

I was really interested to see how many Geo (countries, towns or cities) co.uk domains had been sold in 2020 so far and was left a bit disappointed and surprised that there was no reported sales on namebio.....

The closest I could find was the below

There have been 180 co.uk sales in 2020 for a grand total of $1.3 million dollars with just over $800,000 of sales coming from dictionary words

Only 16 sales have broken the xx,xxx barrier.....with 3 going above 100k

What stand outs with the above is the sheer dominance of Sedo and DomainLore when it comes to co.uk sales- if you own any in this extension and are not listing on Sedo then you are most likely shooting yourself in the foot....

DomainLore is mainly for resellers

Just reaffirmed how tough the co.uk market is.....

1/3 of all sales in 2020 have been dictionary words

Al the above data is for $100 plus sales and is courtesy of Namebio - pretty sure there will be many a sale at $99 and below.......

.uk is better but it is totally ignored as if it doesn't exist. You can't convince .co.uk owner to buy .uk version of the same keyword. They say we are "keyword 1 Keyword 2 UK" but as domain they choose thekeyword1keyword2ltd.co.uk .
