posting examples of other hyphenated sales, doesn't illustrate value or add appeal for your name,

simply because clothes-design isn't in same caliber as majority of those names.

as the best choice would be "clothing-design.com".

I'm asking the forum for opinions on my domain, and pasted some of my research... part of which was looking at comparable sales of domains with similar formats / structures (such as "-Design.com").

Clothing-Design.com would indeed be better...

But I don't own that one, hence asking about the one I do own!!!

Research is a big part of domain sales, or any sale....

I have searched keywords and comparable sales across Clothes, Clothing and Design.

Having never been a huge fan of hyphenated domains, when researching if they had any value I was pleasantly surprised to find that some clearly (as posted above) can have some value when accompanied by high volume and meaningful keywords.

Don't assume....

p.s. Comparable sales that contain "-Design.com" is imo a sensible comparison, but only one perspective / angle of the wider research I do as matter of course - I just haven't pasted all of that here.

if your name can't speak for itself, or be judged on it's own,
then surely it will need comparables, to try and influence opinions.

i sold "braided-rugs.com" not long ago and didn't do any research before acquiring it,
nor did i post any comparables, in an effort to sell it.

just saying...

So does Clothes-Design
And so does Clothing-Design

All 3 are combinations of words that make sense and have meaning when put together

Neither *needs* any additional information, but I and many others find information useful - whether people choose to regard or disregard it as informative, or be influenced by such, is their prerogative.

So actually you're missing the point - some people value information.

What I thought was that adding some information from a well-known domain industry information source would a) have saved effort for people who do use that site and find it semi-useful, b) be understood as me trying to be thorough and helpful, and c) that they'd be strong enough not to be influenced if they believed some of the research I found was misleading, incorrect, not relevant in todays market or non-sensical.
