Seems to be a variety of views here. I've looked at some of the uses of the word clinical:
clinical depression
clinical diagnosis
clinical examination
clinical laboratory
clinical medicine
clinical pathology
clinical psychology
clinical research
clinical records
clinical study
clinical test
clinical trial
These are all fairly common phrases. Private medicine is a growth-area and I was thinking of one of the walk-in clinics that are one of the main advertisers on the UK transport system and in magazines and newspapers. From my research, they almost invariably use the word clinical in their ads. I think they it suggests expertise, hi-tech equipment, the latest techniques… no?
Thanks for the advice!
