Chinese Domain's

- In .com /.net /.cc / .xyz & more
The Chinese domain market is on the rise. From 6N/7N/8N even 9+ numbers and more being registered. Daily sales are being reported across multiple platform various different extensions.

(For the Chinese the top registered extensions and sales are being found in .com's, .nets, .cc, .xyz, .cn ,.top, .wang)

Some popular Types of Pattern's:

Just to list a few

  • Numeric's (obviously)
  • LLLL's (in most cases A,E,I,O,U,V) free unless they form pinyin's which have meaning.
  • (LLNN) Letter Letter, Number Number combinations
  • (NNLL)
  • Repeating Patterns Letters or numbers
  • (City/Number) City letter abbreviations:
CN (China), HK (hong Kong), SH (ShangHai) preceding numbers (I.E. CN1234) are also selling quickly as well.

Some background about Chinese numbers:

There is so much cultural influence, harmonic, slang etc.. one could on forever about all the different reasons why some numbers are more valuable then others.

For example, contrary to common belief , the number "4" isn't always "bad".

4 (pinyin "si") is also the same as the pinyin for "death", hence the bad connotation.

But when put in a particular sequence "1314" for example this is not the case.

For various factors, culture, as well phonetic pronunciation of the numbers, the "sound" of the number "4" can change from "si" to what sounds like other Chinese characters.

The number "4" in the case of 1314 would be pronounced / viewed as "shi" (hence getting rid of the bad (connotative meaning).

1314 actually has two very positive meanings. It can be pronounced similar to to the english translation of "Always or Forever" but can also be seen as "one Life one Death" also meaning "for a lifetime".

As far as number patterns, Phonetics play a large role. Chinese characters (words) can formed from roman letters "pinyin".

When you have numbers with the same "pinyin" but in a slightly different tone it can start to make numbers sounds similar to normal chinese words or phrases. (example: 9= "Jiǔ 九") is the same pinyin as jiu (which forms many other Chinese (characters or words) when used in a different tone or added next to another character.

Numbers are also used as slang, or quick abbreviations instead of writing out the Chinese characters in pinyin form.

This doesn't even touch the surface of all the various factors and reasonings behind the current numeric buy outs and trends, but could hopefully shed a bit of insight into various reasons of purchasing these numeric assets.
