domain Chinese Domain- 我愛上海.com

Hi,

I'm looking for an appraisal for a Chinese domain I recently registered, 我愛上海.com.
Here's the translation:

我-wo (I)
愛-ai (love)
上-shang (Shang-)
海-hai (hai)

Taking into consideration that Shanghai is one of the fastest growing cities, as well as it hosting the World Expo this year, I thought it would be a good domain to obtain. (Also because I'm from there =P)

It is an interesting one for sure, I guess you are thinking because it works for NYC then it may work for you?

I am not sure how to put a price on it without knowing the language and seeing how it is searched but google adwords in England says it is searched 1000/mo

It is definitely one for holding and developing, maybe into a huge content site, maybe with going to local businesses and getting them sponsoring various pages...it will be worth far more to you than the paltry $1000 value guess I would put on it right now if I were to make what I think is a reasonable offer

Thanks Sparhawke! I actually didn't think about the I Love NY when coming up with this one. I just felt like expressing some Shanghai pride one day and chose this name because of the repetition in sounds (Ai, and ShangHAI) =P. You bring up a great point for potential uses of the site.
Escapewithme, I registered this domain on name.com. There's also a lot of other sites that support these kinds of domains too, a quick Google search should bring them up.

Most English speakers don't know how to input Chinese characters;
Most Chinese speakers don't like to input Chinese characters in the web browser address box.
Most traditional Chinese characters and simplified Chinese characters are greatly different (Yours are traditional Chinese characters, while Shanghai people use simplified Chinese characters).

My suggestion is, staying away from IDNs; else you know you are investing in the most probably valuable ones, like, 上海.com. (shanghai, one word only).

Do you know if there is any value in .公司 (.com in chinese) domains. I registered the following domains which all have very large search values:

性爱.公司 (love.com)
性爱.公司 (sex.com)
成人.公司 (adult.com)

Also do you know what websites facilitate the sale of this type of IDN?
