Chat system script

Can any of you guys recommend me a good chat system (java or not) to put on my website?
P.S. It would be great if it was freeware

www.realchat.com is what NP uses and I think it's great.. very expensive though. :/

If you intend to use the chat to connect users in a working network i.e. undernet/dalnet or any other network you can connect via chat clients, i would recommend pjIRC.

Yeah, Dan, I know the chat system used by NP is great but, as you said, it's very expensive and I can't afford it

I have to say that I like the chat system suggested by Hitch, but unfortunatly I just checked my paypal and I don't have 5 bucks in it

TheLaw, thanks for the suggestion , but I'm not looking for an IRC related chat.

I will buy the FlashChat when I'll have the money but, until then, can you suggest some free ones ? pls
