Hi guys

Just joined up and looking for some advice...

A couple of years back, I saw an opportunity to get in and get some potential celeb name domains and they came good.

I'm now sitting on four domains, a mix of .net, .org and .co.uk for the names of two members of a very popular boyband. Their names (ie the domains) alone generate between 1m-4m searches a month worldwide, and another singer who also has approx 1m searches a month worldwide.

I'm keen to sell them for the maximum amount, but am conscious of the sensitivity around these types of domains, so wondered whether there were any tips on the best way to go?

Stay away from celeb names

Holding on to celeb names triggers a suspicion towards you since sitting on a domain is not appreciated and the celeb can easily get it back from you. However there's a way around it. Build a fan site and specify that it is a fan site and that you are promoting your celeb. After that put it up on Flippa and let it go on an auction.

Celebrities don't have the time to go after things like domains and chase their owners and the above works very well.
