Carrying variables automatically?

Hi. I am making a client's website, and I got a bit far and now they want me to be able to change something. (css style)

Basically: The whole website runs inside a php page with includes, but when you click a link, it refreshes the page (don't ask... ). What I need is a way to carry a variable ($css) automatically when a link is clicked, otherwise I will have to go back through all the links and update all of them.

I don't know how well I have explained my query, but I hope you can understand it!

If I understand correctly, you could use sessions or cookies. Do a search on google for "php cookies"
