i agree that is kinda nice... On your webrowser do a view source and you will see some of the javascript he uses to do it.......

Seems like it could be done with some fairly simple ajax javascript calling a php script backbone. I could do this.

How hard would it be for a development noob - and I mean NOOB - to incorporate it into my site. And the clincher....How much would you charge me??

It's not that hard.. just get the basic AJAX code and find a whois code, then put them together.

All is javascript. Can be "copy" very easy, but I don't suggest to do that
