Would NamePros have the ability to allow me to put the (xx) most recent posts on my home page?

I use phpBB for my boards and there is a mod which will allow you to (very easily) create a code that produces the last (?) posts on which ever board you place the mod in. For a quick example, check the All Available box and then scroll down and click submit; you can then put that code on any site you want.

If you look at the right side of My Home Page, you will see "Recent Posts"; I would like to be able to add NP's in that box so I can easily see not only my boards recent posts, but NP's as well. Not to mention people visiting my home page would see them.

Just wondering.

We do have RSS feeds which can be used on many types of blogs and other content management software.

The feeds are currently provided in two formats, RSS and RSS v2. The differences are as follows:

* RSS 0.91 - This feed is based on a standard written by netscape and provides a link and the title of the thread.
http://www.namepros.com/external.php?type=rss
* RSS 2.0 - This feed contains title, author, date and the contents of the first post of the thread.
http://www.namepros.com/external.php?type=rss2

The forums to which this applies can also be limited to specific guest viewable forums by adding another paramater to the URL containing the forumids as follows:
http://www.namepros.com/external.php?type=rss2&forumids=5
(this pulls up latest posts in Industry News forum)

If you would like the content to be generated for multiple forums you can seperate the forumids by commas.

do you get brownie points for each person that uses it? eg: is that another site linking to you? Will the search engines pick up on it?

Depends on how the feeds are used.
