C# ... Bugging me

Hi folks,

I know this is a terribly simple thing to do ( and have done it before, but can't remember ) ....

Basically it is a Windows app in c#

Just trying to get a user input in Int form ... It is really that easy !

Been trying with Int.Parse and Int32.Parse but just can not get it to work.

Just have an input on the form where they enter a number and want to extract the number .... And can not for the life of me figure it out, mind you have had a few JD's :)

All the best.

Richard

Can you post the code :P There may be a error in the form itself.. Int should work :S

Hi iNod,

Thanks for the reply, here is the part causing the problem :

string tempString = maxCharacters.ToString();
int mostCharacters = int.Parse(tempString);

maxCharacters is a text box that users enter a number and mostCharacters is the variable I want to store the integer in.

Any ideas ?

All the best.

Richard

Think I've cracked it :)
