Hi Sabre-
I'm totally in tune with you on the fact that you purchased the domain name for the "keywords" - most recently, I've decided that "keyword" importance outweighs the extension. This, of course, is my personal feeling - I'm sure there are others that will disagree.
One of the guidelines I use for selecting good keyword domain names is that the keyword(s) should have no less than 200,000 OVT... and for me, that is the low end... so over 1400 IMO isn't very good. From time to time I will pick up some low ovt domains like BargainHosting.org, and BudgetWebhosting.us because they've dropped recently, and I usually turn them over quickly for a small profit...
That's not to say that you won't find an end-user that is looking for the exact keyword combo that you possess... unfortunatley there is no science to it. Just time, $$, patience, and knowing when to strike!
As far as the value of the domain - wholesale - $10-20 - which really isn't bad. You must consider that it's still profit if sold for that price, and small profit is always better than no profit at all
Much success to you-
Jennifer
Happy Halloween everyone :kickass:
