Yes I know its only a subdomain but any potential
as a betting portal site. I like these *.web.com names
because they are short and memorable and ideally suited
for portal type sites. Not everyones cup of tea though!!

computer.web.com , shop.web.com and travel.web.com are very good

internet.web.com is amazing...

Develope them, All of them, all great names. Though i just wanted to say you had MORE of a chance of SEO if it was a country extention. Like web.uk.com then you would be listed for a keyword "web uk" etc.

But anyhow, each of them are MINIMUM LOW $xxx But i can't stop loving shop.web.com , computer.web.com music.web.com and internet.web.com they are too good and MIN $x,xxx each... VERY VERY good catches.

I do not agree with the high valuations on these domains becuase the extension hurts them very much. This is not a TLD and is not nearly as brandable as other extensions. GL, RF :tu:

you seriously saying names like music.web.com is worth $xx ?

In about 1 - 2 years they will become much more popular with companies, i can bet at least 1-2 of his name will be sold on sedo or afternic within this year...

Yes For Probably way too much
But Why use a subdomain to develop ,when there are some many ccTLD & gTLD's to choose from
As to it's Present Value
Reg Fee

I think they have long run potential !!

I dont mind the negative appraisals but I really think there are too many snobs in the domain name business. I have a collection of easy to remember subdomains that I could never get fighting for the dot.com equivalents. Joe public sees internet.cc or internet.web.com or travel.cc or travel.web.com
All I know is that mine end with .com and joe public (or John Doe) does not really know the difference. Only time will prove me right or wrong but I managed to get a nice collection that I cannot build up any other way.

If Im wrong I lose if im right I will do well. But I feel I have a good collection
and am happy to get a nice unique collection. But I also wish well to all
the rest that do their own thing. I just dont have the time and energy to chase an ever diminishing collection of tld .coms. :) :)

I do to!
But as to present Value. Reg. Fee which is no different than if it was a
.info , .net , .org or .Whatever.
I understand fully your comments about Domain Name Snobbery. My own Domain reg-fee-IMHO.info was regged
as A subtle dig at several Members who chant the phrase as a Mantra. (except for their own Lousy Names)
I have no objections to SubDomains, I have several .cjb.net and other subdomain URL's Including One .Au.COM

My point about the Use of Web.com Or another Subdomain Style URL
is you have very little control over the Name. Web.COM's are better then Most As they can be Re-sold.
Could you not Register just one Good ,Short .com and Create all the Interesting and Unusual Subdomains yourself such as
Internet.YourOwn.com Music.YourOwn.com Whatever.YourOwn.com

Yes The average Joe or Joan Doe Doesn't know or care about the name,
but these are also the ones who know very little about improved values for
Developed or Premium Domains and expect them all to be reg. Fee Value.

You get the benfits of being in a club

Well I really think there is a difference between your own subdomains
and a common subdomain that has some real meaning. Many companies use domain.uk.com and it is a "country looking code" same with domain.us.com
it is quite clear to joe public that these are UK and US related with .cjb.net
it really has no meaning. Whereas *.web.com has some appeal as well. More
importantly they are memorable and look OK. As for control I think you have complete control as there is no way centralnic can just grab the name back as they have sold you the rights and i would sue them to pieces if they tried to!! Just as a landlord lets out his properties to his tenants he then cant just evict them!!! You can't get LLL.co.uk but you can get plently of LLL.uk.com !!
Most consumers don't give a damn so long as it is easy to remember - I have property.uk.com and really I don't want lovelyproperty.co.uk or beautifulproperty.co.uk because they are far more difficult for customer recall. I think consumers will remember property.web.com or property.uk.com far more easily....just my twopence worth!!!

On the other hand i think the price of these is way too high which limits their appeal bt on the other hand it means I have manged to pick up some great drops like health.uk.com date.uk.com cars.uk.com!!!!!

Fair enough.
I firmly believe in Developed value.
Google.com is lousy name if didn't have development
one of my best paying PPC ads has name NNN-LLLLLL-LLLLL.net which by the supposed rules should be worth nothing however its value developed is
$xx,xxx+
And Yes Uk.com ,Us.com AU.com all have some great names
My .Au.com is a Keyword with 300 million Results
