Being Polite

Meet me at work and ask a question. If I ignored your answer and walked away you would be offended.

Email me with a problem, wait for my answer and delete the email without reading it.

Hopefully you will agree that both of the above are impolite. And if you do, I hope you will agree that doing the same in this forum is equally impolite.

It is normal practice to ask a question, wait for an answer and then reply 'I agree', or 'I disagree'. Why then are there a whole hosts of threads where a question is asked, somebody takes the time to reply and then... Nothing.

Be polite. And please, check your spelling, what does CUL8R mean? Not going to get a job spelling like that!

I think this may be the wrong thread for this, but. I agree with you. I think this should be common practice, but others don't see it that way. I also think it is impolite to not respond to PM's. I am in a situation of the sorts myself right now. I feel this is very rude. I gave you respect for a good post!

Nul Problemo. I did think about where to post the topic but decided in the end to post it where most of the 'impolite' users post.

Anyway, if it jerks just on person out of their stupor and actually encourages them to post a reply then it was worth the effort.
