.info BBC plugs .info

On BBC Radio 4 this morning there was a news item about freeganism, and they plugged a website: freegan.info.

Another small step towards the .info extension achieving general public awareness.

One thing that struck me when I heard it was how natural the extension sounded.

Unlike all the others, it doesn't need any explanation at all, no "that's short for organisation" or "which stands for 'web site' (only it doesn't)"; "Info" says it all.

yep i agree .info has always sounded like a natural extension to me i do believe they will catch on more so in the not so distant future.
