I see very little to no value in these domain names. The question here is how much does age improve a domain name? I think when people use the term "aged" to sell a domain name, its implied the domain has more value, because it was registered when quality domains were available.

The problem is that not all domains are valueable. Someone may have regged GIOTTISNC.com for some obscure reason, or a weird name. I just dont see this as having any value, definetly not 8 years worth of registration. Good luck either way.

Nothing left to say, I gree with spade 100%

Reg fee, esspecially since they are both undeveloped and have no PR/Alexa ratings...

Maybe some branding potential with xentoo.com, but thats about it.

Hope you didnt pay too much, good luck!

I think really aged names, 2000 & prior are a good play. The fact that it has no pr is not that big of a deal. With such age, it would be much easier to get it imo. I would stick to names that make sense or are something above just being brandable if possible.

i'll bear this in mind in future. i payed $75 for the 8 year old, $30 for xentoo

Having age is definitely a plus, but it doesn't have inherent value in and of itself. Google takes into account the age of a domain when determining PR, so the same name with a fresh reg wouldn't have as good of a rank as it would if it were 8+ years old (assuming all other variables such as backlinks and traffic were the same). I'm not sure how big of a difference age makes in the algorithm... but only a few Google employees know that :)

I think xentoo is definitely brandable, but the other one doesn't seem to have any value as I can't even tell how it is supposed to be read.
