...or any other ebooks?

I am strongly considering buying Adsense Mastery, but I understand that as well as the course, you have to spend more money on software, making it a total of $600 investment! But it is supposed to be worth it.

I never believe these ebooks.

All they are 'usually' are books pointing the damn obvious as use color schemes to fit your website and earn over 500% more profit.

My Opinion though.

Best Book on how to use Adsense is the One that you write yourself
Most Adsense placement is Just CommonSense
It isn't a difficult Concept
Like most eBOOks (More like eLeaflets) not worth the Paper they aren't written on. Like most Get rich quick Schemes only one who gets rich is the Seller.
Get better advice here and other similiar forums for free .
If you still want an eBook ,I will write you one and charge half the other price.
Here it is
1/ place Ads on Text content rich pages
2/ Place Ads on non-Framed Pages if Possible
3/ Place Ads above fold of Page
4/ Place Ads Where not obscuring content
5/ Place Ads where won't be Confused as to Content ,i.e. Near text links
Cut & paste into Notepad . And there is your eBook

May I contribute to the ebook?

1. If possible avoid borders and background colors on your ads. The ads don't look as nice without them but they blend in much better and look less like obvious advertisements. This is proven to increase CTR.

2. It's already been mentioned to put ads on the top fold of the page. I'd like to add that putting the ads in the left margin will generally yield a higher CTR than putting them in the right margin.

3. Google text ads generally outperform Google image ads.

ps. Unless you're completely new to all of this, I don't suggest wasting money on Ebooks. As suggested earlier, 95% of the info is available for free by doing some searching. Save your money and invest it in a good keyword software tool.

May I also add some important points:
Don't be tempted to click your own ads. You'll only get yourself banned.
Don't be tempted to make a site specificly to earn from Adsense, this will also get you banned.

I don't see how this can get you banned, since this is how sedo makes money from parked pages...

Er, I don't see any truth to that statement. I suppose if you just had a page where ONLY adsense was on their..

Hmm. If visitors confuse ads as content, then wouldn't that make them more likely to click the ads, and earn you more?

Armstrong. I mean't where the Context sensing Picks up the Text of the links or menu choices and then display's in-valid ads
(e.g. Displays Ads for link manager software because it saw the text "links" in menu choice)

Adsense Mastery

Just incase you didn't know, adsense mastery is not really an e-book as such. It's actually a set of comprehensive videos that go into great detail about creating the actual sites, buying domain names, submission, etc, not just placement of ads on the page (of course it includes that too) ;)

I got the videos a few weeks ago when they were cheaper and I am very very thankful. Straight into the 1k club for this month using quality sites, not spam rubbish. Some of the stuff is indeed garbage / simple stuff, however there is lots of information to be taken from these cool videos.

Also, I HIGHLY recommend it to newbies to websites / adsense in general, tech savy people wont benefit quite as much.

I recall that you get to see a couple of free videos on the site / if you register (dont hold me to that as I dont remember for sure) but they sold me on the product.

I HATE THESE EBOOK things and ALWAYS learn in forums, but the concept of these being videos etc made me go ahead and make the purchase and I am thankful. So is my wallet. :) Just waiting for this month to cash in so i can get my new lcd telly from ebuyer.com woo woo! :)

Hope that helps a few peeps.
I wrote some other info here

and you can find adsense mastery step by step videos here

Hope that helps folks :)

Dave

Nice to be here on the forums ;)

They're running adsense for a LOOONG LOOOONG time! :)

They couldn't have been running Adsense for more than a week because on August 11th, 2005, MuscleCars.com had a GoDaddy.com parked page in place. That page was put up in the last seven days.

I think they've done enough with those pages to avoid penalty. The pages have a structure and some content (although it's brief). However, they are in violation of Google's TOS because they are encouraging visitors to click on links.

"Click on the links on this page to get the latest information to help you buy, sell, or service your muscle car from the top specialty automotive companies on the Net."

That's a no no. IMHO, these pages aren't getting much targeted traffic. Google doesn't report them as having any inbound links and I doubt they fair very well in the SERP's. I'd be surprised if they generate $5/month.

Overture Searches done in July 2005
Count Search Term
1415 musclecars.com

I'm sure it can make almost $5 per day... :)

I've checked that website at about 1 month ago thats why I tooked it as an example.
But, of course its against Google TOS.

I don't put any faith in Overture w/ extention searches. The site owner could inflate his own Overture w/ extension stats. According to Alexa, it barely exists:

http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details?q=&url=www.musclecars.com

I have sites that are ranked higher than that and they only get a few hits a day.

I also have some websites wich rank better in alexa than that.
But the point here its the "type-in" traffic that the website gets!
Ovt searches can be inflacted but i dont believe it in this particular case.
Thats IMHO of course.
