"Just curious" I can't find a price guide nor have any general knowledge as to what these are going for. LLL.co.uk and LL.org.uk. I know there are many variables to consider such as letter quality/proper word etc. I'm just after a general consensus as to the investment aspect. Also, what I can expect to pay for these types of domains. Let's assume they have quality letters and are non proper words.

Thanks,

-Ian

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
LLL.co.uk names are very good, and there under high demand, I would say £x,xxx.

Giraffe.co.uk seems to own nearly all of them though, and they say:

Quote from http://www.esy.co.uk/:

This domain name is in our pool of names which are for sale or lease for business use.

We consider Three Letter Acronyms (TLAs) to be very valuable generics. For more information please see our information page at http://www.giraffe.co.uk/tlas.html

As a guide, we generally sell these names for £2,500 to £5,000 + VAT depending on the name.

If you would like a firm quotation which will be valid for 10 days, please email us: [email protected]

And it is not actually possible to get LL.org.uk domain names or more specifically, you cannot get LL.uk's at all now. (There are exceptions EG BL.uk and BT.co.uk which were all regitered before the rule was put into place. And If you got hold of one of these names I would suspect that it would be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.

I own the following domain names:
  • L8.org.uk
  • H8.org.uk
  • W8.org.uk
  • and F8.org.uk
If you are interested please Pm me

http://www.fcdomains.co.uk/

are selling tge.co.uk for £705.

It is worth checking this site at intervals because they often have LLL.co.uks for hundreds rather than £1,000s.

Thanks for the replies. I was interested because a LL.org.uk was showing as available. However, my registration failed. I thought I was going to get lucky. :(

PS- Namepros has the most helpful members. :imho:

Glad to be on board,

I also had a failed registration but this was a LL.co.uk. I wrote to the registrar to asked why this had failed when there were sites at: http://WWW.eb.co.uk/ and
http://WWW.bt.co.uk/. The registrar wrote back a very nice email saying at the very beginning of .co.uk two letter registrations were allowed. The rules of registration were changed to prohibit any more registrations of LL.co.uks, but those who already had them were allowed to keep them.
