Any recourse for previous domain owners?

I caught a domain that was a well-established web design firm (25,000 backlinks) located in the U.S.

Now the owner is raising hell trying to get it back. Of course he is giving the same old song and dance sob story.

Is there any legal recourse or is it just tough luck on his part?

I make a living buying and selling domains the same way this guy makes a living developing websites. Am I not entitled to make a profit in my field of business? Talking out loud a little there - sorry. What would you guys do in this situation. Some input please.

It's tough luck on his part. But he can still use ACPA or UDRP (just google them)
if he can meet their "requirements" to get a favorable decision.

Sure you are.

Don't infringe on his trademark rights, if any.
