Hello all:
You have all been good about answering questions for me so here's the latest:

Any thoughts about a CMS? My CPanel gives me a choice of the following:
Content Management
Drupal
Geeklog
Joomla
Mambo Open Source
PHP-Nuke
phpWCMS
phpWebSite
Post-Nuke
Siteframe
TYPO3
Xoops

It would be to view and edit content for a publication and we would put it under a password system. The new editor of the publication came and asked me about it.
Thanks in advance

First of all: Forget Php Nuke!

Couldn't agree more, never really got on with phpNuke.

Drupal and Joomla, like many other responses here, are the way forward. Probably your best options. :)

wordpress and Joomla as they have Great mods for both of them. wordpress is better for SEO and can be easyer for the user to use but Joomla can have more power

Agreed! Major security risk.

Check out zikula - formally postnuke. There is not one shred of code left from the php nuke days.

Thanks men!
As a matter of fact, php-nuke was my first cms. When I remember all the time spent trying to improve that dead thing! With that time my sites could have much more content and traffic!

My favorites:

Wordpress = very easy to understand, best documentation, good plugins, modifications are easily possible and the wordpress codex is awesome for beginners. Queries like "what page am I currently on" are very easy to realize.

Joomla = very difficult for beginners, even a simple database query is not as simple as it could be. average documentation, tons of plugins
Very dynamic and complex backend system (therefore slower than others), it's very very flexible and has far more settings than most other cms.
