ok, as we all know UnrealTournament2004 is launched Tomorrow. (I presume all, but i know there are some non gamers out there :))

Welp, putting a site up for it on the domain :

www.ut2k4.com (which is the general name people use for it).

I'm going to be in about 300$ once it goes live tonight. (hopefully)

I would like some appraisals on an END USER purchase. Realistic clients include: established game sites, serious clan, Game Server companies / Hosting companies.

Thanks
Matt

mid $xx, really depends on how much gamers take to the game.

Expected figures are it will be competing on a sensible level with CS :)

It's got mostly 9/10+ in all reports in gamers mags.

I'd say $50 end user. Why not develop it yourself?

low $xx wholesale -- might be twice that for an end user, but this name sort of "expires" after this year or when the next version comes out...

Have to agree with Anthony. Domains of individual games are usually not a great buy unless they cover the entire franchise.

$30+ end user

I would usually agree with domain ogre but this is a hotly anticipated game i'm thinking $50+ for your domain. Good luck and remember if the game is addicting enough you will find a player that wants it for practicaly any price.

Unreal Tournament 2004

There are mainly two types of gamers in the world-
Unreal players and CS players and Unreal players are faster stonger and smarter than CS players.

"Good" name/ can't see your site but hey...
two numbers separated by a letter makes it a little difficult to remember

domain w/o dev= reg fee /wholesale sorry
$100 end user !
fully developed w/minimum 1000 active members could bring in mid to high $XXX IMO

Are you ready for Unreal Tornament? I am!!! UT4.info;.net Unreal2005.com :::FOR SALE:::

Interesting reviews :)

Thats what I love about NamePros. You have various "types" of people, so thoughts and comments are always good! :)

Well, the bottom line from what I hear and play, is ut2k4...will create the hype equatable only to that of when Quake Came out ;) (some may remeber those days!)(I remember the days when you copied the code to the game from a back of a mag into your puter [with 32k mem] lol

Anyhows, the deal is, I recently sold : UTLeague.com for over $200.

Was a nice deal for a lone domain with a concept.

anyhows, the ut2k3 domains went VERY quickly.
having the 2k4 one imo, is invaluable to server hosters. They only want serious clans to spend $80 a mth on server...
Most people willing to pay that money are serious gamers (say 200 game servers) so these people know the game is ut2k4 (not Unreal Tournament 2004)

Anyhows, that's the method to my madness. I paid $xxx for this domain 8 mths ago.

btw..u can see the initial web design ehre : http://ut2k4.sy4.com

Great design! Anyway, I hope there is a method to your madness if you paid $xxx for it previously. How much are you expecting to make with this one?

•••
I'm expecting a return of $4-500 (seing as it will be designed with backend. Possibly higher $xxx

I know the ut2k3.com domain went for about $350 end of last year for just the domain. Its the game server companies that truelly see the value in these domains.
