The name could have ALOT of TM issues.

I would have thought a credit company of that size would have TM's on various names involving AMEX.

the next problem, as I see it, is who would you sell it to?

Yes I would bet that you would run into legal issues with that name eventually. I don't know though I suppose if you din't use it for anything to with amex cards you may be okay, but probably not.

It looks like American Express has quite a few trademarks.
