People. :snaphappy:

I was looking forward too getting my McAfee Anti-Virus software and my GTA Vice City soundtrack box set, until I opened the MIGHTY BIG box they came in to find the two items tighty squeesed on top of each other in the center of the box.

Alright, so from experiance with Amazon they are known to send me out oversized boxes with items tightly wrapped around each other in some kind of clear film, but this was taking the mickey! The heaviler of the two boxes, GTA box set, was sitting on top of the basically empty McAfee box pushing a big dent into it...

I lifted the GTA box set away and was surprised at the dent in the McAfee box... Alright, so it might not be a big deal, but the McAfee box is now useless, it's not like you can push the dent back out or anything... I like to hold onto all my boxes for storage.

Wouldn't it be common knowledge to a packer that this kind of packaging just isn't 'right'? Shouldn't they already know that through postage of the items, the heaviler will slowly dent the lighter one... Even looking/holding the two item boxes this should be very clear...

What do you think would happen, if anything, if I were to write to Amazon and complain about this? I know I'm being stupid, and making a big deal over a silly cardboard box, but I just wasn't happen with it, and I'm also curious to know what could happen!

Has anybody done this before, or has anybody experiance this kind of packaging from Amazon?

Thanks for listening to another one of my silly rants! Feedback please. :tu:

They likely offer to replace the damaged package if you send it back to them. (If it's worth it for you)

I've always had packages packed well when ordering from Amazon.com. Usually comes with those oversized bubble packets in a cardboard box when I order books or DVDs.

I wouldn't bother sending the package back. It isn't worth the hassle.

You got bubble packets? I've never gotten bubble packets for my CDs... I remember ordering 13 CDs all at one, and they sent me the CDs all piled over one other and cover in that clear film stuff...

No big deal, I think I'm just getting one of my random urges to rant and made a deal of something, this time it being Amazon packaging just because I'm picky! :p I think I might email them anyway, just to see what happens.

I guess Amazon shipping specs are different when ordering from co.uk. I've always ordered mine from Amazon.com, and their US packaging standards are always top-notch.

well at least email them and tell what happen

if they don't know what happened, how are they supposed to improve customer satisfaction
