I have a layout I am making that has images in all 4 corners that fade out. This works okay, even under IE because I forced it. However, for some reason, when I have a tiled image that fades out for a background of a table cell the alpha transparency doesn't work (not even on browsers that are supposed to support png alpha transparency). Is there something wrong with using alpha transparency as a css background like that?

Thanks,
Qest

Great question -- looking forward to hearing from someone who knows the answer. Have you tried asking this question at the css-discuss (.org) site?
