Now that the NHL is done for the season, the (few remaining) NHL fans will be looking for an alternative. Thankfully, the AHL is the #2 hockey promotion in the nation (and they're not half bad either -- the Chicago Wolves pack about 15-17,000 fans into the Allstate Arena for games, while the Hawks barely do about 1/4 that).

AHLForums.com & AHLChat.com for a league sure to rise in popularity over the next few months.

I can see this working well, i would develop them for sure, sit tight, and wait for the domains to increase in value!

Anyone else? I've been seeing lots of articles on ESPN lately talking about how the AHL is going to greatly increase in popularity as the NHL situation continues (and they talk about the Chicago Wolves, an AHL team, outdrawing the Chicago Blackhawks, the NHL team).

May be right but IMHO they would be crazy to go after anything which would increase awareness and maybe put another butt in the seats.

Could be, but that doesn't change the fact there are potential TM issues.. the more popular the site becomes, the more risk the domain owner runs.

but as long as you ar not profiting from the names i dont see . why they would bother you of course i could be wrong ...
