If you want discount pricing like this you have to prepay $1500, usually.

This account let's you register names at that price without the big upfront payment. There is no middleman, this account is directly under cnobin.

I stumbled upon this registrar some time ago and, although impressed with their pricing, was (and remain) concerned about the potential complications and consequences of dispute which might thereafter arise. Disputes are governed within the aegis of the People's Republic of China, where cnobin.com is based and held as an asset of the State.

Suffice it to say, in a mighty, but oppressive nation in which absolute law is dicated by the Communist Party and challenges thereto routinely land the offenders in labor camps, "complicated" is pretty much tantamount to "Goodbye, domains" ... unless, of course, you know a litigation attorney in Shanghai who has not yet been jailed for challenging the State.

Furthermore, domain equities held by a Chinese registrar would surely be at catostrophic risk in the event of a breach in routinely volatile relations between the US and China.

Pricing makes this opportunity worthy of a look. But think very carefully before you leap.

No disrespect intended, Dot. Really. Nor is my post intended to arouse unnecessary doubt as to cnobin's reliability.

However, when entrusting valuable domain equities to a registrar which, in actuality, is owned by and controlled by The People's Republic of China, political stability and recourse in the event of a dispute are relevant issues. Were they not, I'd likely bid on your reseller account. It's a terrific deal.

My comments were not intended to discouraged bidders, but rather just given them a moment's pause to consider the potential implications.

Nevertheless, the more I think about it, the more I lean toward your thinking and concur that my observations would probably have been more appropriate in a separate thread. Please accept my regrets.

No problem. I agree with what you said, but I haven't had any problems with Cnobin.

Have a great domain day :)
