$35 Logo Redesign Conentest...

I am in a fresh logo for one of my websites: totalbike.com. We are in the process of redesigning the complete site and a new logo would complement the updates. The logo should be around between 50-70 pixels tall and the width is flexible. It should have conservative colors that are not overly bright. I would prefer vector artwork.

Payment is to be made by paypal.

Contest will end when in two weeks or when I receive an entry that I like.

Border7 -- Good basic design
Gurpartap -- The Total Bike is not as clear and the logo may not work in other non-web uses
Virgil -- Can you make a tire tread under the Total

hi, first of i am going to enter this contest, but in respect to saying will7 and true snake's logos are too tall, just a point if they are vector art, which im sure they are, they cannot be too tall they can be re-scaled to any size, im sure they just made them bigger so you can get a better idea of what the logo is all about

I understand that vector images can be sized, Border7 hit the nail on the head. This logo will go on the top of every page so vertical space needs to be maximized.

Border7 -- Your logo needs something to make it more unique, not sure what.

here's a submission from me. this is 100% original vector artwork. the diagonal scanlines have been placed as a watermark. I have provided an enlarged version along with one with a height of 70 pixels as requested. I didn't want to go with a bike in the logo since you stated you did not want it to be focused on a specific type of bike. Instead, I just went with a general gear/sprocket type image as the "O" and followed up with a rounded enclosure measured up to what looks like a bike chain. hope you like

hozt, the artwork is vector and I can resize it to within 70px easily. I'll show you what it looks when it is the height. I only showed you enlarged it so that, as steadler says, you can see what exactly it looks like.

It's primarily for your own security. In the past, there were instances where the contest holders "stole" the entries, and used them without trouble because they were not watermarked. Hozt is a good contest holder, but some others are not, and if you get in the habit of not watermarking, it can get dangerous, IMHO. I don't think any designer wants to lose their work.

Unfortunately, it's happened to me numerous times in the past :td: .
