35.00 Logo Contest

[Day Dreamer]

Ok, I want the following logo created for me.

I want the text "WI-FI Enabled" into a simple logo. It will be really small for my windshield.

Maybe a little bar with lines or an antenae or something blinking. I like the XM logo, but only parts of it and I don't want to cheat and steal theres.

Underneath the "wi-fi enabled" I want the word "Satellite" centered underneath it in smaller font. Make it look like a cool logo, that portrays the beacon type, antenai type thing going on.Blink, Blink thing.

CONTEST WILL RUN FOR THREE DAYS.

It is very obvious you did not make that logo from scratch. There is simply no point in defending your case, as the logo you entered has already been posted on numerous websites in the past. Just search for "wifi logo" on Google Images and you'll see multiple results on the first page.

You may have re-created the image after you copied it, but you copied the logo regardless.

You may have re-created the image after you copied it, but you copied the logo regardless.

If your going to say that in this thread then you should say the same thing in every logo contest threads because I see it all the time happening and noone say anything about it.

If you see it happening then the best thing to do is to notify others about it. Notify the contest holder, a moderator, an admin.. Just notify others of what is going on. Perhaps the reason nobody ever does anything about it is because they don't recognize the logo as being used anywhere.

There's something that everyone on this board needs to read, and that is this.. If you're not going to take the time to make your own logo and steal someone else's to pretend like you made it, you are showing a complete lack of respect for the designers who take time and diligently craft their work from scratch. You are also ripping off the contest holder and putting them in a potentially dangerous situation, as they may face legal issues down the road if the owner of the copied logo runs across the site.

I think that anyone who copies a logo should either be banned or suspended. It's ridiculous to see people give absolutely no credit to the original creators, post and pretend it's their own, and lastly deny ever copying it even when it's blatantly obvious they did.

Whether you copied it directly, or recreated it yourself doesn't matter in trademark law. Please be more careful to not utilize trademarked designs in your submissions. Its not fair to the other designers, or the contest starter who could ultimately end up in legal trouble.
