.us 3 letter .us

I am wondering what the value for 3 letter .us is. What are the ones with some crappy letters like x q z j k? Are they worth anything?

Also is a name with 2 letters the same and one different better than three different letters? for example is qoq.us or qqo.us better than soomething like qoz.us?

Thank you for answering my question

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Generally, 3LLL .us goes for at least $15 whse regardless of the letters, and in general tops out at around $45 for good letters, (that do not make up a word). The avg seems to be in the $20's.

There has been mixed opinion on double letters. They probably don't add any value to the name and may in fact detract because it might make it more difficult to match up w/ an appropriate enduser, unless, of course there is an obvious fit ie AAU. However, personally I like them because of their uniqueness and if nothing else, there is one less letter to remember. :)

I like to run searches on the three letters, check them w/ Acronym Finder, and try to do some creative thinking on possible associations, and then approximate a value, based on the findings or what I come up with.

I guess I agree somewhat. Base value for any 3-letter .us name on the wholesale market (with the less than desireable letters) is about $15-$20

This said, 3-letter combos of quality (with all quality letters only) have routinely been selling for $50 plus. As a matter of fact I've sold about 10 such names in the $75-$100 range each in the last two weeks! That is starting to really be a hot market I think.

I too like the double and triple letter combos where letters repeat. I think they are more memorable and catchy, and too more valuable.

Just my $.02

:) Andrew

That's good news Zesty. Congrats on the sales.

I've been busy mainly w/ 3character-mixed for past couple of months, so am basing my numbers primarily on AfternicBazaar figures, which often are at the low-end of the sales spectrum. Here's some of their more recent 3LLL .us sales figures:

09/06/2004 BKK.us 22.33 (double L)
09/06/2004 xvk.us 9.00
08/26/2004 ZVG.us 11.26
08/26/2004 ZRW.us 11.26
08/26/2004 UQI.us 11.26
08/26/2004 QEY.us 11.26

Special circumstances?

I was looking for that one in the latest DNJ "Sales Report" ... have you contacted Duke on that yet, Superdeal? :talk:
Really odd that the WhoIs hasn't updated yet (according, at least, with Whois.sc) ... it resides at Enom, right?

just by looking at that list, i think that $10 ist he loweest prices for a 3 letter .us
