The right data can be valuable to a domainer. Following last years post. here's the latest stats on where the world is currently in terms of the usage of the internet.

Information made available by internetworldstats.com.

• 7.6+ Billion people globally, with just under 54% currently using the internet.
• Africa still showing the largest growth over the past 17 years.
• Asia still makes up over 55% of the worlds population, with the highest internet usage (in numbers).
  
• The second place (in numbers) still goes to Europe, a little more than a 3rd of Asia's internet usage.

In 5 to 10 years Africa will be in 2nd position.
