2.5k UNIQUE hits on website I haven't touched for YEARS

My first website, a discussion forum for South Asian community, specifically Pakistani was the reason I started learning about domains,web business,programing etc. I lost interest on that website about two years ago and left it as it is, however i kept renewing the domain because i have a reseller hosted on that domain. Every now and then (6 months, or a year) I decide to open my website again and find ALOT of spam posts. I usually delete some and then get lazy and just leave it. I knew i was earning SOME money from that website still, through adsense (1$ every now and then), but today i logged into CPANEL (after 2 years) and checked the awstats. Apparently my website is still getting 2.5K unique hits a month. However, there are hardly any new posts, except from spam, so i don't really know what there is still that much traffic.
Now I don't know what to do, just leave it, or get back into it and clean it up, advertise again and see if it leads anywhere?
What do you guys think i should do?


The domain is 4 years old now (so is the website)
it used to be PR4 however its PR0 now, i guess because its been dead for over 2 years?

Forgot to mention, according to awstats this month traffic came from
1 source: Russia
2 source: USA
3 source: China
4 source: Pakistan

I have no idea why there is traffic from russia? its a website targetting Pakistani audience (website has most of the posts in urdu)

The traffic you are getting is bot traffic.
The bots that submit spam..

If the domain is nice you can develop - use vbulleten

if the domain is not good - don't let it stay like that.

also i already have the vbulletin installed..even tho its a bit outdated now since i never updated it

Develop it. Don't use forums forums are for beginners. If you want to expand, its news articles and other contents. (JMO)
