Hi brothers,

I recently acquired the domain name TodayRace.com and I’m looking for advice on pricing it.

Here are some key stats:

CPC: $1.80
Search Volume: 360K

What do you think would be a fair market price for this domain?

Most replies will tell you that it's not worth anything, and they may be right.

RaceToday.com would be better because it makes sense. Even still, not much demand for either.

I would get a refund if possible (check with registrar, usually within a few days). If not, I would price it at either $99, $199, $499, $999, $2499, $4999 or $9999 depending on how lucky you are feeling. If it doesn't sell in a year then you might as well drop it and invest in another domain.

If it was my domain, and I couldn't get a refund... I would price at $199 and be happy if I get a 15x ROI in a year.

The reality is the domain is not great. The words are wrong order and it doesn't make sense, the demand is small because not many companies or organizations are spending large amounts on a domain related to racing unless it is very very good like Racetrack.com, Racer.com, Racing.com, Trackstars.com, etc...

What I would do next time is check Namebio.com for public sales using combinations of your keywords. Check domain sales "Beginning With: Today" and "Ending with: Race" and you will get an idea of the likelihood of a sale with those combinations, and what the price might be.

In your case, there are too many alternatives and Today is not necessarily Race related so there is not much incentive for a buyer to choose your name when they could choose another with both keywords related.

I highly doubt "today race" actually has 360k searches.
