The domain name "France.fr", Lee? :talk:
Where is it registered, the expiration date ... and is there any "Reserve Price" in the auction ending:
Sunday, 7/11/04 11:59pm Pacific Time.

Also, do you wish this to be moved to the "Domains For Sale" Forum?
Thanks kindly.

(was accidentally posted in another forum, sorry for the error.)

I will post a reserve shortly (as soon as I determine a fair reserve price.)

Site is listed elsewhere also. I reserve the right to pull this auction short should it sell there first pending the quality of the bids here :)

That I am not sure of to be honest. My wife and I are in the US, but my wife is still a French citizen by birth. We are using her mothers address as the contact point for the domain.

Sorry I dont know the rest of the rules/requirements.

DPK87.. If this is like the .ca registration process with the CIRA, you could lost your domain if they find out you don't live there. You can try if you want, don't know how much strict they are with their policies...

You probably sign a contract with them. Don't know, never use such services...

Yep, but you'll need an office there (physical adress), pay some fees (to have your company) pay taxes etc.

Again, I don't know if they really care about those criterias, but I wouldn't lost thousands dollars to find out!

When I did a whois search for france.fr at afnic.fr, I got the following result:

Ce terme fait partie de la liste des termes fondamentaux non enregistrables directement sous .fr. Il peut être enregistré sous les extensions .gouv.fr, .tm.fr et .nom.fr (sauf cas particuliers).

How come you list france.fr for sale, if it's a restricted name:-/ :-/ :-/

Yes, i agree.
I think something wrong happened.
The terms France is an AFNIC reserved terms.
I believe there will be an ownership issue on this name, above all if you are not living in France. Usually the Afnic contact people thru real Mail to the physical adress provided.
It is a serious business for them but i should agree french administration has often such organistaion problems :)

Related "Appraisal's thread" here:

Please keep the appraisals, comments, further discussion of the domain name to THAT thread please ... if you'd be so kind, at least until further clarification/information from the Seller. :talk:

Thankies.
