I'm proud to announce a new partnership between the NamePros.com and WebDesignTalk.Net communities. This exciting development brings together two of the best communities in the web development industry! Content between these two sites will be syndicated with each other and memberships are now valid at either site.

NamePros.com members, you'll still find all the great domain related discussion at NamePros you're acustomed to. As many of you are web designers and developers, I hope you enjoy the new content and tutorials available from our partnership with WDT.

Web Design Talk members, you can continue in web design topics at WDT. You can now earn NameBucks through your participation at either site. I welcome you to get to know your fellow members from NamePros and join in on our marketplace.

Related forums in areas such as development and webhosting have been joined and are accessible from both sites.

Integration of the two communities is still in progress. Stay tuned for follow up annoucements regarding these developments.

My wishes to everyone for a prosperous new year!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

-RJ- congratulations. Looking forward to the integration being complete but well done and I'm sure the partnership will be as big a success as Namepros has been.

(I about pooped myself last night at about 0300GMT when I clicked on a link and got a page full of SQL errors - I thought Namepros has died - but glad to see it came back up after about 5 - I'll bet you pooped yopurself as well  )

Big development piece. It's all very nice, but I'll have to get used to it myself, I'm not really big on sub-domains! :(

Apart from that, then it's all good with me. I just get the feeling this forum may turn more towards design rather than it's original 'Name' concept.

The goal is to keep both forums distinct in their primary topic (meaning NamePros -> domain names, WebDesignTalk -> web design), while keeping content from both sites readily available to all users.

There's still work to be done to accomplish this, more than I can do in one evening. Right now both sites have similar forum layouts, but this will be changing.

Deadserious, founder of WDT, will be staying on board to assist in a smooth transition.

Eeek, the subforums are making it very large.. oh well I guess I'll adjust. :)
The main forum topic (domains) has like 1 forum then subforums :(

I dont like the way things are sectioned off. Everything is too confusing and too much clicking

Let me have some thoughts about it RJ and I'll drop you a PM.

I think some sensible organisation could make it cleaner, keeping the entirety of the content entact.

Nice move btw ;)

nice partnership 1 problem namepros needs to be easy to navigate all these sub sections is a lot of hassle and imo webdesign seem to be getting it right maybe if you split the forum up in to 2 parts top half for domains bottom for webdesign,

Yes. I agree. Too many different sections.. I get lost and lose threads that I had been following

I think this will make NamePros smaller, and WDT.net smaller really fast, as you don't earn NP$ over there. Why would people post from there(WHT), if you can earn for the same thing here (NP)!

Maybe once NPWHT$ is synced up, you could add a line in the postbit that says: "This was posted from <domain>"
