Usually, "C" = Constant; "L" = Letter (Constant or vowel)
Besides that, I don't think it matters much when we're down to 3 character .coms (apart from mixing L and N), price is 5 figures.

The OP has requested domains like p3v.com, pq1.com,... i.e. 3-character domains (CCC) as he specifies in the title. I understand your confusion as CCC can also mean 3-consonant.
